An economic recession hit much of the world in 1987 and lasted through to 1992 in the United States and 1995 in Canada. It was during this time of uncertainty that I.C.I. Electrical Services was conceived, and then was incorporated in January of 1993.
Despite slow economic recovery, I.C.I. Electrical Services began to establish itself as a customer-oriented company, providing the highest levels of service to its commercial customers. Installations were always completed on time, and attention to detail was of the utmost importance.
By 1995 the company had branched into the industrial sector by providing electrical support in a prominent plastics company. I.C.I. was responsible for the maintenance and upgrades of the building's electrical and security systems, computer networking, production and laboratory equipment.
By 1999 the company was highly regarded for its control systems
and began to design and build machinery to customer specifications.
I.C.I. Automation was introduced as a division of I.C.I. Electrical
Services Inc.
In 2000, I.C.I. entered into the pharmaceutical industry. Important changes to the company's structure soon followed. GAMP became a common topic of conversation.
In the years to follow, the company was involved in numerous projects, including installations of fluid bed dryers, mixers, packaging lines and tube filling machinery, as well as explosion proofing existing equipment and performing safety upgrades.
By 2004 the company had completed a world class system for controlling and monitoring the delivery of raw product for a pharmaceutical firm. The system was designed to handle bulk delivery of petrolatum, glycerin and glycol. The company had also established itself as a builder of automated gauging systems for the automotive industry. GR&R was now the buzzword within the company.
Looking to the future, I.C.I. Electrical Services Inc. will embrace new challenges and continue to invest in training, research and development, bringing leading-edge technology to our customers and giving them “ industry's competitive edge ”. |
